We are all aware of the shortage of qualified nurses for our National Health Service. The Gresham Benevolent Fund is keen to encourage the development of nurses. We have set aside funding to support nurses, working in London hospitals and enduring some financial hardship in taking courses and examinations where other sources of funding are not available.
To apply for a grant of up to £500 towards the cost of nursing training programmes or examination fees, please contact our partners the RCN Foundation via: https://rcnfoundation.rcn.org.uk/Grants-and-funding/Educational-grants who are handling the application for grants on our behalf.
Here is what nurses have had to say about us recently:
"I have certainly benefited from the grant, I am currently two thirds of the way through a Professional Practice qualification (equivalent to half a masters) in Cardiac Care. I have passed the first two modules and will be enrolled on the final one in the Autumn. I've enjoyed the course and got a lot out of it, both in terms of personal academic stimulation, confidence in practice and professional development. It's been good for keeping my hand in with research and academic work too. I'm really grateful that the funding has enabled me to do this, and it's not something I'd have been able to fund by myself." July 2024
